My Story
Welcome to Ethan’s School of Language (ESL), where lessons will be tailored to meet your individual needs. ESL will provide you with a fun and exciting English language journey that is suited to meet all levels of English comprehension, from beginner, to intermediate, to advanced. Whether you would like to improve your English conversation skills, writing skills, or business language (emails, memos, and the like), ESL is the place for you!
I first started teaching English as a second language in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I taught from the beginner level all the way up to advanced language learners. After which I obtained my Bachelor’s of Education and have taught for over sixteen years (all levels), including adult learners. I have a College Diploma (D.E.C), a Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Education (B. Ed), and a Master of Arts (M.A) degree. I have also completed additional qualifications in Special Education I, II, and specialist courses. I have completed TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language), as well as an advanced TEFL certificate in teaching online.
My teaching experiences include teaching English at the corporate level, to business managers and employees.
I have been married for over twenty-five years and I have two sons. One is following in my footsteps and has almost completed his Bachelor of Education degree, while my youngest son is working towards a degree in Sociology. I am a proud cat owner. We have three cats. Our wise old female cat is named Athena, our twenty-two pound male is named Loki, and our newest addition, Maya, is a small Orange Tabby.
My passion for teaching has enabled me to embark on many fascinating journeys, which have led me to many diverse and remote communities across Canada. I have had the privilege of working with people of all ages and ethnicities and I look forward to working with you!
